How to Pay

Assuming you've read the currency section of our site, you'll probably have guessed that the price of hotels varies depending on how you pay. The hotels recommended below are quoted per night according to the blue rate and we have put a range due to the volatility of the currency.

To ensure you pay as little as possible, try and pay as much as you can in cash (exchanged at the blue rate) on your arrival. For anything you do have to pay as a deposit, ensure you are charged in ARS so you can use the MEP rate.

If you have any questions:

Buenos Aires

There are 48 neigbourhoods in Buenos Aires, but there are 2 that are the most popular to stay in. Both are in the centre of the city and very safe. How convenient! We've chosen a selection of hotels at different budgets in each area, but feel free to stay in accomodation of your choice too. Airbnb is also a really good option and will likely be the cheapest (studio/1 bed apartments are between £60-120 per night).

Palermo

The largest neighbourhood. Stay here for a young and fashionable area with great restaurants, bars, and shops.

Recoleta

The most upmarket neighbourhood. Stay here to understand why Buenos Aires is called ‘the Paris of the South’.
